THE ASK

Moving into a brand new home can be daunting, which is why our clients hired Kathy Kuo Designs to take on a new-build home that needed to be turn-key ready in a tight timeline. The goal was to create a chic coastal design with a family-friendly atmosphere that specified all-natural and organic pieces to cater to the client’s needs as a trained vocalist.

THE SOLVE

The final result was a relaxed, coastal design with eclectic touches and classic undertones, We chose styling elements that were artful, cohesive, and sophisticated yet remained vibrant and playful so the family would feel right at home. You’ll also notice many coastal-inspired materials like shell, rattan, and jute throughout the home. Ultimately, we leaned into small details that lent beach-y and bohemian flare to the more streamlined anchor pieces. We also created a dedicated at-home workspace area for the kids who were attending school from home.
