THE ASK

For this idyllic country home, our client asked us to completely transform their space from its dated traditional style (dark woods and heavy drapery) into a light and airy modern farmhouse. The key requests were for more light, comfortable play areas for the kids, relaxing living spaces, and an incorporation of their West Coast style roots.

THE SOLVE

We began this farmhouse transformation with a new coat of white paint that served as a breath of fresh air for the space. With this blank canvas, we worked closely with the client to select chic rustic furniture and decor that both felt right for the home’s architecture and sated the client’s desire for modern West Coast style. Some unique details of the final design include: several cozy fireplace conversation areas, a leisurely media room getaway for the family, and minimalist hygge-infused details throughout the home.
