Who says beige has to be boring? The darling look above is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Hillsborough Beige, and we’re absolutely smitten! When choosing a palette for a French feminine look, pick a base color that occurs in nature. While pink may be the perfect accent color, stray away from entirely pink walls.
Pink walls read nursery. We recommend all-white walls, but soft browns, blues, yellows, greens, and greys all work too for a French feminine look. Make sure to keep all of your wood finishes white (bonus points if they’re whitewashed—like wood from a French country farmhouse itself!). To accent the room with feminine flair, choose a muted tone of an otherwise bright color. Here is where pink can work like magic. Lavender, sunny yellows, powder blue, and mint green are great options as well.
